Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching, so I figured that I'd give a few ideas for all of the last minute shoppers.
1.) If you're pressed for time, as well as money, here's a quick and creative idea for the ladies.
--Have one of your friends take pictures of you. Make sure that the outfit is fitting for your other half; include his favorite pieces that he enjoys seeing on you. (Use your imagination) After the photo shoot, print and make a short but sweet photo album. Create captions of inside jokes between the two of you, or even lyrics from a certain song to express the way that you feel. (Keep it personal)
2.) If you do have some extra money...
--purchase your Valentine a gift card to their favorite store, you can’t go wrong. You name the price.
3.) Use the kitchen for once...
--Make his/her favorite meal. This could be as simple or as hard as you would like to make it. All you have to do is buy the groceries and follow directions! To add spunk, make dessert a special treat (Big wink). Blind fold him/her & do a taste-testing session. The taster can NOT move on to the next dessert until they guess the first one. (i.e. chocolate covered strawberries, cherries, grapes, etc...)

Packers
The Packers are not my choice of team (Go Titans!), but Lil Wayne seemed to have made the right choice when it came to predicitng the champions of the 45th SUperBowl.

Survivng emotions.
On yesterday night, I had the opportunity to attend an NA (Never Again) meeting. I've always wanted to experience the presence of those who aren't as fortunate as many of us on this earth. The NA meeting that I attended was actually the "Birthday" of someone. The person celebrated three years of being clean. Many young people are able to party, drink, even do drugs and are able to stop on their own without any special attention. Others aren't able due to personal reasons. At the meeting a speaker whom looked as if he could pass for a preacher spoke. A very clean-cut and mild mannered man around the age of forty years was there to deliver a message that changed many lives. This man was once a college running back with a full ride and much pride. During his career he experienced many down-falls, one led to another until he could no longer get back on his feet at the time. He went on to share a story of his struggle... "I was walking in the rain and everyone was running under bridges, in stores, and in cars trying to relieve themselves from the drench. I even remember a dog turning around from a fence to run in to his dog house. How did a dog have more sense than a human? There I was, a grown man and I didn't even have enough sense to guard myself from the rain." At the very moment I knew i had gone too far..." As I took note of the man who had been through not only this experience, but many more that he shared, many thought filled my brain. Moreover, I received a bigger blessing than I had ever expected and that was to survive my emotions. If a former running back could fall upon the wayside and become an addict of many drugs, recover and still turn out to be something great we can all survive anything. When you feel like all hope is gone in any section of your life, remember that there is someone fighting a bigger battle. Survive your emotions, no matter what because the world does go on.

Won/won/WONWON
HAPPY NEW YEAR to each and every one of you! I just wanted to share a story with you all. This morning, my Aunt brought to my attention that today was 1-1-11. She further went to explain that we have already WON/WON/WONWON in the year of 2011! I felt the need to share this message because you never know who may need to read this. In this year, I deeply encourage you all to WIN! Whatever battle you may face the first day, or the last day of this year, claim VICTORY in all that you do. You are a WINNER!

NYE*
How are you bringing in the new year?! I will be stepping out with my cousin Ms. Tasha Simone at her masquerade ball downtown! We decided to create our own mask, creativity at it's best! (check out her fb pg for more details) everyone be safe and have fun!
We Wear the Mask
WE wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,—
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.
Why should the world be over-wise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
We wear the mask.
We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries
To thee from tortured souls arise.
We sing, but oh the clay is vile
Beneath our feet, and long the mile;
But let the world dream otherwise,
We wear the mask!

What do you want to know?
This is one of my favorite quotes, and it opens the floor to ask any question about me that you may wonder about. Feel free to comment on any post or ask any questions, i don't bite. I blog!"To know me is to love me...If you love me stop hatin on me...If you hate me you don't know me." -Antonia Carter
#TeamBreezy
On yesterday, Raz-B (former member of B2K) hit R&B singer Chris Brown below the belt. Chris brown acted as a normal person of defense. I've always loved Chris and I doubt if this Twitter ranting will cange that fact. #TEAMBREZZY

Yet another year is upon us. Right around the corner is adventures, different experiences, new relationships, and maybe even a big move?! No one knows what the new year really has in store. So, instead of planning all of the unrealistic new year's resolutions...let's keep it real with ourselves and simply plan to be a better person. Exercise more, focus on health and strength other than that waste of a membership at Gold's Gym. It doesn't take wasting money to be healthy and fit, a jog around the park can be refreshing and cheap.

TIFFANY EVANS --All grown up*
Tiffany Evans is all about secrets since she's turned eighteen and has no problems with her decisions. The sweet and innocent R&B singer was determined to confess her love to her boyfriend, Lorenzo who is TWENTY-FOUR years old! He is noted to be a back up dancer for Ciara! Streets have it that the two engaged in holy matrimony after a dating history of three years! I found out this information while doing my casual online surfing. I love Tiffany's voice and her humbling interviews. Do you believe the rumors? This could be false information, but either way...I pray that they both keep God first and live happily ever after! (Above is my favorite remake of Tiffany's, the hit "I have nothing")

As you all may know, Teena Marie also known as, "Lady T" passed just the day after Christmas. Born Marie Christine Brockert -- Teena Marie, famously known as Rick James' protegee, rose to fame in the late 70s and 80s. The Grammy nominated singer-songwriter released her debut 'Wild and Peaceful' via Motown Records in 1979. The album featured 'I'm a Sucker for Your Love,' Marie's first Top Ten hit, but Lady T would go on to have many more hits, including 'Square Biz,' 'Lovergirl' and 'Ooo La La La.' Above is a video/recording of my all time favorite 'Square Biz', I've been playing this song all day long Hope you all enjoy as much as I have! R.I.P. Lady T (March 5, 1956 – December 26, 2010).
